يفخر مهرجان الجونة السينمائي بالإعلان عن اختيار 13 فيلمًا للمشاركة في أقسام المهرجان المختلفة، والمنافسة على جوائز نجمة الجونة، وذلك ضمن فعاليات دورته السابعة المقرر إقامتها في الفترة من 24 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول إلى 1 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني. وتتنوع هذه المجموعة بين الروائي والوثائقي، كما تمثل بعضًا من أفضل الأعمال التي قدمتها السينما العالمية خلال العام الحالي وبذلك يكون المهرجان قد بدأ في إزاحة الستار عن أفلام دورته القادمة المرتقبة.
تقول ماريان خوري، المديرة الفنية لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي، "منذ إنشائه، أكد مهرجان الجونة السينمائي التزامه بدوره كجسر بين الثقافات المختلفة، ومنصة لعرض أعمال صناع الأفلام الشباب والطموحين. اختيار أفلام هذا العام هو مظهر آخر من مظاهر هذا الالتزام".
بينما علق أندرو محسن، رئيس البرمجة في المهرجان، "سعينا للحفاظ على مكانة المهرجان الجونة السينمائي في انفراده بالعروض العربية الأولى لأبرز أفلام السنة، بجانب تسليط الضوء على أصوات سينمائية جديدة هذا العام تنافس على مختلف الجوائز".
تأتي قصص الأفلام المختارة لهذه الدورة من بقاع مختلفة في العالم، بعضها غير مألوف بالنسبة للجمهور، بما يضمن شمولية التجربة السينمائية لهذا العام، وتحمل هذه الأعمال أيضًا شهادة ضمان على تفردها من أكبر وأعرق المهرجانات العالمية، فعلى سبيل المثال وليس الحصر، فاز فيلم "المادة" (The Substance) للمخرجة كورالي فارجاه بجائزة السيناريو في مهرجان كان السينمائي، بينما حصل "الاحتضار" (Dying) للمخرج ماتياس غلاسنر بجائزة الدب الفضي لأفضل سيناريو في مهرجان برلين السينمائي، في حين فاز الفيلم الليتواني "سام" (Toxic) للمخرجة سولي بلوفايت بأربع جوائز في مهرجان لوكارنو من بينها جائزة الفهد الذهبي لأفضل فيلم في المسابقة الرسمية، بينما حصل فيلم "غريب" (Stranger) للمخرج شونغفان يانغ على الجائزة الكبرى في مسابقة بروكسيما في مهرجان كارلوفي فاري.
المادة - The Substance

الفيلم الحاصل على جائزة أفضل سيناريو في مهرجان كان السينمائي، والذي يعد أفضل أدوار ديمي مور منذ فترة طويلة، تدور أحداثه عن نجمة أفل بريقها، تقرر استخدام مادة غير معروفة المصدر من السوق السوداء، تعيد إنتاج الخلايا وتخلق نسخة أكثر شبابًا منها.
الموسيقى التصويرية للانقلاب - Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat
إخراج: يوهان غريمونبريز
بلجيكا، فرنسا، هولندا
فاز بجائزة الجمهور وجائزة لجنة التحكيم الخاصة في مهرجان صندانس، وتدور أحداثه في فبراير/شباط 1961، حين اقتحم عازفو الجاز وناشطات من ذوات البشرة السمراء مقر الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك احتجاجًا على اغتيال باتريس لومومبا. يحتفي الفيلم بتأثير موسيقى الجاز والقوى الناعمة على جبهات الحروب التي خاضتها أمريكا خلال فترة الحرب الباردة.
يتعلم - Elementary

شارك في برنامج العروض الخاصة في مهرجان كان. تنطلق أحداثه من مدرسة ماكارينكو الابتدائية في ضواحي باريس حيث يود الأطفال أن يتعلموا ويحصلوا على قدر من البهجة، في حين أن الأساتذة يدركون أنهم لا يدرّسون المناهج فحسب بل يعلّمون. بعناية ومثابرة، يتدرب الأطفال ليس لكي يصبحوا مواطنين صالحين فحسب بل بشرًا أيضًا.
غريب - Stranger
إخراج: شونغفان يانغ
أمريكا، الصين، هولندا، النرويج، فرنسا
حصل على الجائزة الكبرى في مسابقة بروكسيما في مهرجان كارلوفي فاري السينمائي الدولي. تتركز أحداثه في غرف الفندق حيث يكون الجميع غرباء. يرصد الفيلم الحميمية اللحظية التي تحتفظ بها غرف الفنادق، وكل فصل هو لقطة واحدة، وكل لقطة هي قصة مختلفة.
الفتيات يبقين فتيات - Girls Will Be Girls

الهند، فرنسا، أمريكا، النرويج
في مدرسة داخلية صارمة الأجواء، تقع في جبال الهيمالايا، تستكشف ميرا المراهقة الرغبة والرومانسية، لكن أمها تعيق صحوتها الجنسية المتمردة، التي لم تتخطَ مراهقتها بعد. فاز الفيلم بجائزة الجمهور في مسابقة السينما الدرامية العالمية من مهرجان صندانس السينمائي، وجائزة أفضل إخراج في مهرجان صوفيا السينمائي الدولي.
سام - Toxic
إخراج: سولي بليوفايت
ليتوانيا
مراهقتان تحلمان بالهرب من كآبة بلدتهما، تتشكل بينهما رابطة فريدة من نوعها في مدرسة محلية لتعليم عرض الأزياء حيث يدفع الحلم بحياة أفضل الفتيات إلى انتهاك أجسادهن بطرق شديدة التطرف. اكتسح الفيلم مهرجان لوكارنو بأربع جوائز، من بينها جائزة الفهد الذهبي لأفضل فيلم في المسابقة الرسمية وجائزة أفضل عمل طويل أول.

افتتح مسابقة أسبوع النقاد في مهرجان كان، ويدور حول "حميد" عضو في جماعة سرية تلاحق قيادات النظام السوري الهاربين. يتكلف حميد بمهمة تأخذه إلى فرنسا حيث يقتفي درب جلاده السابق ويتحتم عليه أن يواجهه.

شارك في المسابقة الرسمية في مهرجان كان، بطلته بايلي، البالغة من العمر 12 عامًا، تعيش مع والدها الأعزب باغ وشقيقها هانتر في منزل صغير في شمال كينت. باغ لا يملك الكثير من الوقت ليمنحه لأبنائه، لذا تسعى بايلي وهي على مشارف مرحلة البلوغ إلى الاهتمام والمغامرة في مكان آخر.

فاز بجائزة الدب الفضي للجنة التحكيم الكبرى في مهرجان برلين، ويتتبع قصة امرأة فرنسية تجد نفسها بلا مال أو أي شيء لتعتمد عليه في حياتها في كوريا الجنوبية سوى النبيذ المحلي "ماكجيولي". وفي سبيل إعالة نفسها، نصحها الجميع بتعليم اللغة الفرنسية، فتبدأ في ابتكار طريقة جديدة للتعليم.

شارك في المسابقة الرسمية لمهرجان كان، بالإضافة لمشاركته في مهرجان تورنتو، ويدور في فلك قصة حب تؤطرها الهشاشة، تنطلق أحداثها في الصين منذ بداية الألفية الحالية وحتى وقتنا هذا.

لاتفيا، بلجيكا، فرنسا
"كات" حيوان منفرد، دمر الفيضان العظيم منزله، لذا يجد لنفسه مأوى في قارب تسكنه العديد من الفصائل وسيضطر إلى التعاون معهم بالرغم من اختلافاتهم. حصد فيلم التحريك أربع جوائز في مهرجان أنيسي، أبرز المهرجانات المتخصصة في أفلام التحريك، ومن بين هذه الجوائز، جائزتي الجمهور ولجنة التحكيم.

إيڤا، ضابطة في السجن، تتبع منهجًا مثاليًا في الحياة، تواجه معضلة حياتها عندما يُنقل شاب من ماضيها إلى السجن الذي تعمل به. حصل على جائزة أفضل فيلم في قسم سينما الشباب في مهرجان هونغ كونغ السينمائي الدولي، بعد مشاركته في مسابقة لمهرجان برلين السينمائي الدولي.

El Gouna Film Festival proudly announces the selection of 13 films to participate in its various sections and compete for the coveted "El Gouna Star" awards in the highly anticipated seventh edition, taking place from October 24th to November 1st.
This year’s selection, encompassing both narrative and documentary films, represents some of the finest works showcased by international cinema in the past year.
Marianne Khoury, Artistic Director of El Gouna Film Festival, expressed, “Since its inception, El Gouna Film Festival has been committed to serving as a bridge between cultures and a platform for emerging filmmakers. This year’s selection reaffirms that dedication.”
Regarding the selection, Andrew Mohsen, Head of Programming at GFF, added, “We strive to maintain El Gouna Film Festival’s reputation for hosting the Arab premiere of the most notable films of the year, while also spotlighting fresh cinematic voices competing for various awards."
The stories behind the films come from diverse parts of the world, many of which will offer audiences a unique and unfamiliar experience, ensuring a rich and comprehensive cinematic journey.
Notably, these works have already been recognized for their excellence at prestigious international festivals. For example, the German film Dying, directed by Matthias Glasner, won the Silver Bear for Best Screenplay at the Berlin Film Festival. Additionally, the Lithuanian film Toxic, directed by Sule Plejuvit, took home four awards at the Locarno Festival, including the Golden Leopard for Best Film in the Official Competition. Stranger, directed by Chongfan Yang, also received the Grand Prize in the Proxima Competition at the Karlovy Vary Festival.
